Hiking the Wellsvilles

Me and a couple of my El Toro buddies (Anna, Diana, and Toño), and a couple of their friends, attempted the hike to the top of the Wellsville mountains again. Last year we did the Deep Canyon Trail, and couldn't walk for like a week. I was WAY out of shape then. This year we did the Maple Ridge/Cold Water Lake Trail, which was longer and seemed a lot steeper, but this year I had actually been working out so my body didn't suffer near as much afterward. Which was nice. Weird how that works.

We STARTED with 8 people, and 3 dogs. (Bear is intimidating the little white one, so you can't see him)

About half way.
At this point we were down to 5 people and 2 dogs.
Shortly after this point we were down to 2 people, and our 2 loyal four-legged friends.

Cooper the trooper and his new BFF Bear, catching some rest in the shade.
This was Coop's first big hike, and he did so well, and LOVED it.

 SNOW!!!!

Toño and I were the 2 to make it to the top,
with Cooper and Bear of course.
Yeah, we're pretty cool.
(doesn't he look thrilled?!)

CV side.

 Box Elder side.

Coop just cooling off in the snow... which led to him sliding down the hill.
Wish I had that on video. So funny.

We made a lil snowman. He would have been bigger,
but our hands were FREEZING!

We didn't make it to the highest peak (Box Elder peak) because the other people kept calling us (yes we had service) every 3 minutes asking if we were coming down yet. UGH!!! So we decided to head back.
We took our time eating our lunch on top though, just to piss them off a lil bit more. Ha ha.
We came to HIKE people!!!
So, next year, Toño and I WILL reach that peak, and if you can't handle it, then
DON'T COME!

I hauled extra water with me for Cooper but surprisingly he hardly drank any during the hike.
But after, he drank out of this cooler for like 10 minutes.
What a good boy. Next time he's hauling his own water and lunch.
(he does have his own pack)
He could barely keep his eyes open on the way home cuz he was so tired.
So cute.
Then he went comatose for two days.
Our house was peaceful... for only two days.
